Imitating Christ's Humility

Philippians 2

(v. 4) "Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others."

My Thoughts

In Paul's letter to the Philippians, he tells us that we should imitate Christ. If you have a sibling, you've probably dealt with them mimicking you, either what you say or what you're doing or both, or you've done it yourself. Annoying right? Even if you were the one doing it, you know (now, hopefully) that it's annoying. Sometimes people will do this to one another to mock them or to annoy them. Sometimes though, especially with a younger sibling, they do this because they want to be exactly like. It's like a show of affection or that they look up to you. So next time your younger sibling does this, don't get annoyed or upset with them, maybe laugh it off, have fun with them!

The way we should imitate Christ is not in an annoying way, and not even to try to play His 'character'. You know people get into character for different things, even wear costumes. That's not how we do this. We imitate Christ by aligning our hearts with His and filling our minds with holy thoughts. You can't always just go around healing people and bringing the dead back to life or walk on water. These things aren't impossible if you have God, but it's not what Christ expects of us. He just expects us to follow Him and His ways, like a master and apprentice kind of thing.

Wouldn't it be just such an amazing thing for someone to mistake you for Jesus? That would be cool! It would be just like someone mistaking you for a celebrity, only better! You could be Jesus to somebody. Jesus is in you, He is in your heart, so if someone mistakes you for Him, they aren't totally off because they would be seeing Jesus in you and through you. This is what can happen when you align your heart and mind and spirit with that of Jesus, and it is a very good thing.

Go out and do something for someone else this week. Be completely self-less. Give help to someone, have a chat and make their day, encourage, comfort, or think of something you could do for someone else that is totally for them and for God. It doesn't have to be something huge, remember that the small things matter too.

God is for Everyone

Acts 10

(v. 15) "...'Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.' " (v. 34, 35) " ...'I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts men from every nation who fear him and do what is right..."

My Thoughts

Peter had a vision of a blanket that came down and had animals roaming on it. God said to him, "Get up, Peter, kill and eat." Peter said " Surely not Lord! I have never eaten impure or unclean." God told him not to call anything impure that God has made clean. What did Peter's vision mean? Think about it for a minute, then continue reading.

So, what do you think? The meaning of Peter's vision was that God has made us all clean. A gentile is a person who is not a Jew. For the Jews at this time, it was against the law for a Jew to associate with or visit a Gentile. The vision that Peter had was God showing him that He has made clean the Gentiles; that God does not favor the Jews over the Gentiles, but that He loves them just the same. God is for each of us, Jew or not, Christian or not. It doesn't matter who you are, what you believe, what you do or have done in the past. No amount of sin or guilt or hurt can keep God away. Only you can do that by not allowing God into your life.

Remember that Christ died on the cross for every one of us. He paid the ransom for each and every person that ever has or ever will live. That's how much He loves us. There are so many people in this world that don't realize that God loves them, or they think He can't. They are the ones putting boundaries up to keep God out of their life. God won't overstep anyone's freewill of choice, so He won't overstep someone's choice not to let Him in.

It's up to the Christ followers to show those who don't follow Christ what it means to follow Him. You don't need to go and preach to people, all you need to do is show the love of God in all you do. When you talk to people, do so with love. Everyone is different; some people are good at encouraging others, some people are just easy to talk to, others are inspiring, honest, and so on. There's a huge list of traits, and some people have more than one. Use those traits that God has given you when you talk to other people. That's one way you can show His love to them. Think of some other ways, and then act on them!

Time Spent in Prayer

Nehemiah 1

(v. 3) " 'Those who survived the exile are... in great trouble and disgrace.' " (v. 4) "When I heard these things, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven."

My Thoughts

Nehemiah had a job to do; he was put in charge as governor of Judah and led the rebuilding of the walls of Jerusalem. When Nehemiah was first told of the state of the walls in Jerusalem, he wept. Before doing anything, Nehemiah mourned, fasted and prayed for some days.

This looks a lot like procrastination, doesn't it? Procrastination is putting off doing what needs to be done in favor of more appealing agendas until the last minute. I will tell you that Nehemiah absolutely did not procrastinate. The time he spent in prayer before doing the work that needed to be done was not wasted. It was time well spent. When you spend time prayer with God before doing a task that needs to be done, you are preparing yourself for said task.

A lot of the time, when you have a certain task that is a lot of work, or may take a while, or is daunting for whatever reason, it can be very stressful. Some people put off these important errand until they need to be done in a pinch. Others will spend all day or more working away on them that they burn themselves out and have no time for anything or anyone else. They are of the mindset that it needs to get done before anything else, and that is where they focus all of their resources.

The time you spend in prayer before starting a task is the most important part of that task. All you have to do is ask, and God will make the task seem less daunting or stressful and more achievable. You will find that you can finish the task at hand quicker, better, and without stressing yourself out. Always remember to pray about anything that seems difficult, stressful or daunting. Ask God to help you get the job done, and done well, and to help you stay focused on Him.

Daily Bible Reading #2 - God Can Always Use You

God Can Always Use You

2 Chronicles 34

I pray blessings on you as you read.

(v. 3) "For in the eighth year of his reign, while he was yet young, he began to seek after the God of David his father: and in the twelfth year, he began to purge Judah and Jerusalem from the high places, and the groves, and the carved images, and the molten images."

Papers Please First Impression

In Papers Please, you play as and immigration officer for the country of Arstozka who checks people's passports and other documentation. Every day, something changes to make your job harder and the laws stricter. It becomes increasingly hard to keep track of all the rules and making sure that there are no information discrepancies, all within a timely manner. You get paid, I'm pretty sure, per person who enters Arstozka.

Throughout the course of the game, there are different situations or scenarios where you have to make a choice one way or another that actually affects the outcome of the game. There are probably even some that you don't even realize, unless you're paying close attention. If you mess up and either turn someone away who had all valid information, or let someone in who had invalid information, you get a citation. It goes on a three strike basis. I think after three, you get penalized and docked pay.

Papers Please really starts to stress you out as the rules increase alongside the amount of information you have to check. The people are idiots sometimes and "forget" that they need to have a passport. The main thing you have to remember about this game is to check every, single, itty, bitty, tiny piece of information on every single document. This is why it becomes frustrating and stressful! I definitely love Papers Please, it is an excellent, challenging game. New Blog Topic!

Hey there again, this post is just to let you know that I am adding a new topic to my blog. The reasons for this are that, one, currently there are not many posts on my blog, and I would like to have more. Second, this new topic is something that I've been wanting to do. I was going to start this later on, but with very few posts on my blog as it is currently, I thought this would be good to have more frequent posts.

So anyway, the new topic I will be blogging about is

Daily Bible Reading with DragoNate

This will probably be a blog specific thing, it's not going to be linked directly with my YouTube channel. I will be reading my Bible and then sharing with you my thoughts on what I read and what I got out of it. I hope you like this idea, and as always, it would be great to hear your thoughts on this! Thanks again, and Godbless!

Antichamber First Impression

Antichamber is a super weird, mind bending/warping/tripping, etc... exploratory game. It is confusing, just like The Stanley Parable. I love Antichamber because it is so weird. You really have to think outside the box to figure out because in order for things to work, you have to do something that you would not have expected or thought of. Sometimes you may even have to backtrack so that you can progress.

If you decide to play Antichamber, in which I highly recommend that you do, you'd better be prepared to be amazed! The things you can do in this game are so freaking awesome! It is full of puzzles that you have to figure out and choices that'll take you in a totally different direction, or maybe not so different... Once you've been to a particular part though, you can return there any time you want from the main menu area.

I honestly can't see why it was called Antichamber, the title just doesn't make sense to me. At the same time, I cannot think of any other name for this game that would be catchy, descriptive or the like. Seriously, go play Antichamber for yourself and you'll feel weirded out by different things afterward. Actually, now that I think of it, Antichamber could very well teach you how think outside the box and not take what you see, hear, taste smell or feel for granted.

Maybe Antichamber is more than just a game. It could be a teaching tool, if you use it as such and focus on those aspects of what it makes you do. Little Inferno First Impression

Little Inferno is game where you burn stuff... obvious right? Inferno refers to fire, fire burns things... you got it? Okay good. So, you burn items, they spit out money, you buy more stuff with said money so that you burn more things, so that you get more money, and on and on we go. It's a never ending cycle... or is it?

I love Little Inferno simply because it has fire. I mean, that's what the game is all about, burning with fire. Okay, I think we've established this already... There's also wonderful physics in Little Inferno! You can break things, smash, burn obviously, and lots more! The interactivity of each item in the game is just amazing! I can't wait to see what else there is!

There are spiders in this game too... Lots of spiders. I don't like spiders, so I burn them! Only in the game of course... what, do you think I'm like that guy who burned his house down to get rid of a spider? Pfft, I wouldn't go THAT far. I'd abandon my home before pulling that stunt! Anyway, when you burn the spiders, they give you money as well! If you could make a living burning things constantly, that would be cool! Cool, and destructive. Did you notice how cool and fire have totally opposite meanings? Except in this case because cool means awesome. Fire is awesome! Just to be clear, I am not a pyromaniac. Thank you. Check out my video on Little Inferno below and head over to my channel by clicking on my name! Don't forget to subscribe fore more while you're there!

Subsurface First Impression

My first impression of Subsurface was actually a pretty good one! The game was very enjoyable, it had a hilarity factor, but it was confusing. I really have no clue what I am supposed to do in Subsurface. This seems to be a recurring theme with me huh? Basically, you are on a submarine, and you have to accomplish whatever task you have chosen.

How you are to accomplish said task is unknown to me at the present time. It was stated that multiplayer is probably to play currently because single player mode is still unfinished. I didn't really care, however, and dove face first into single player, confidently! That confidence was soon dashed by the seemingly complex mechanics and my not knowing anything!

Not only was I at a complete loss as to what my purpose was, the captain of the sub was drunk! She stumbled around aimlessly, opening and closing doors and pulling all the wiring out of almost every electronic item she saw. To top it off, she falls down the stairs a few times, and a ladder and then, in a drunken stupor, she messes around with the nuclear, fission, reactor core... thing... and ultimately blows it up, causing the demise of her entire crew, which only consisted of three people, and destruction of the ship.

What I am getting at here is that Subsurface is really hilarious to play! I love the drunken person animation, it's so funny how they fall down the stair and do flips sometimes as they do, and just like a cat, always land back on their feet. My only issue with it, personally, is that I have no clue what does what, goes where, or how things work so that I can accomplish the task I am required to accomplish. Maybe I just haven't found where that information is. Either way, this game seems like it will be a great success in the end and I encourage the developer to keep up the great work! He already did such a great job with SCP-Containment Breach!

Channel Update | Hand-Drawn Thumbnails

Hello everyone! This is just a little update notification from me about my YouTube channel, DragoNate. This update is that I will no longer be using any computer programs to create thumbnails for my videos. Instead, I will be hand-drawing them myself.

This is an idea I've had for a little while now, and I figured that I would just start implementing it. I thought that this would be a great idea and, who knows? Maybe it'll help me stand me out from the crowd of other YouTubers! This could be the unique thing about my channel.

I hope that all you who watch my videos are on board with me on this, and I would absolutely love to know your feedback on it as well! Please let me know what you think about this, whether you like it or not, what could be different, and so on. Please keep in mind that I am not, you know, the best artist out there, so the images may not be the absolute best. It is still something that I really want to do, and I know that I will improve with it as I go. Take a look at my video explaining this and don't forget to subscribe on my channel! One Last Day First Impression

One Last Day is a zombie survival game that has a blocky graphics style. I honestly do not know very much about One Last Day due to the fact that it would not work for me. I tried playing this game three separate times before it finally started to work. The first time, nothing would load properly. It had basically just come out, so no biggie really. The second time, the map generator would not allow me to save the map it created, even though I entered a name for it.

Finally, on the third time I played One Last Day, everything worked well enough to let me play. Except the game crashed while trying to save my new character. The map generator I thought was broken still, but I realized I forgot to type in a name for the map. That made it playable. My problem afterward is that the map, when I went to go play it, it took literally about four minutes to load the game.

When I finally go into the game where I could actually move around, I had no clue what to do. There was nothing to tell me the controls, no tutorial, nothing. I pressed multiple buttons trying to accomplish something, to no avail. Nothing did anything, and I did not get anywhere. I was thrown into the world, without any knowledge of anything, left to figure everything out on my own, with a zombie very close to me.

The positive of my first video on One Last Day is that a zombie appeared, literally out of nowhere, I turn around and it starts beating on me. What a bully. You can my video down below, and enjoy me getting a bit scared by the zombie bully! If you do enjoy this video, check out my channel for more videos, and subscribe! I will continue to make videos on One Last Day, following the progress of development, and I do have high hopes that this game will see much improvement in the future.

Sir, You Are Being Hunted First Impression

Sir, you are being Hunted starts with some kind of experiment that went wrong and you end up trapped on the Archipelago. There are robots everywhere that you must evade or fight while recovering the fragments of the device so that you can return home.

This task of recovering the device's fragments becomes increasingly difficult. More and different robots start appearing. You have to remember to eat as well, to keep up your vitality. Being killed by robots is enough, you don't want to starve to death on top!

So far with my first couple videos of Sir, you are being Hunted, I am having a bad time. Don't get me wrong, I am honestly enjoying the game for sure! The bad time I am having is due to me being unable to find a weapon of any kind. I have searched so many places, hiding from robots, albeit not very well, and have not found a trace of a weapon. I don't even have anything to hit them with to take theirs, yet! Once you find a weapon, Sir, you are being Hunted becomes slightly easier. Notice how I said slightly? It makes it easier to defend yourself. The bad part is more robots later on, and limited ammo supply.

So far, I am definitely enjoying this game very much! Sir, you are being Hunted also a multiplayer mode that is in beta, and you can go to their website to find more info on that. I have yet to try that out, but I would like to for sure. You can check out my first video on Sir, you are being Hunted below, and if you enjoy it, head over to my channel and check out my other videos! Don't forget to subscribe for more!

David. First Impression

David. is a game about overcoming challenges, no matter how much bigger or stronger or anything else they are than you. Created by a Christian developer, David. the game is a representation of the actual David from the Bible. Most people have heard of David and Goliath, and that is who the character of the game represents.

David. is a box armed with a slingshot type weapon, just like he was when he fought Goliath. As the player, you assume the same role and must overcome each challenge: anger, lies, wolf, brood, and more. There are two different difficulties, and both must be completed in order to move on to the final door, Sin. I love this game so much! I am a Christian myself, and I really like the idea of a game being based on the Bible.

Honestly, even if you aren't a Christian or don't read the Bible, the metaphor of the game can be applied to your life. You don't have to read the Bible know that you are bigger than any problem you face and that you can overcome any challenge, no matter how difficult. If you are facing a challenge that feels too much for you, persevere. Reach out to someone you trust for help and guidance. I would also like to encourage you to pray. I can't and won't force you to. I also just want to encourage you, period.

No matter what happens, no matter who says what, you are special. You are loved. There is always someone who loves you. If you can't think of anyone, that is alright. That doesn't mean that there isn't. Just stay strong and reach out for help or guidance. Take a look at my video down below and head over to my YouTube channel to check out more videos that I have done, and don't forget to subscribe. Godbless!

Influent First Impression

Influent is a language learning game. You have about 400 words that you can learn in the whole game, possibly more. Basically, you go around your home and look at each and every object in the place with the SanjigenJiten, listen to word, read the word and add it to a list so that you can test yourself later. Right now, there are about 10 or 12 language packs, and my only complaint with these is that they cost extra, separately. It makes sense though, you would have too much all at once to learn or pick from and it would just be an overflow.

The SanjigenJiten is a device within Influent which can determine the name of any object in any language and also read it aloud. This device enables you to learn any language! So if you are influent in a language, play Influent and increase your proficiency! Of course, it may seem difficult, as it is when you're first learning something new. My first list of 10, I got 70 percent correct. The second list, 10 different words than the first, I got 100 percent!

Influent is a game that makes it fun and easy to learn a new language. You won't necessarily learn contextual dialogue, but at least you'll have the basics of speaking a few words. This will definitely make it easier when you start speaking and learning the new language in more depth. At the time of writing this, I only have one video on this game, and you can watch it down below. I hope that you can learn a new language with me while I play! If you enjoy this video, please head over to my channel and subscribe for more, and check out some of my other videos while you're there!

Fortress Craft Evolved First Impression

Fortress Craft Evolved is a game that kinda seems like a more futuristic version of Minecraft. I have never played Minecraft before (you can hate me all you want for that!) nor did I play the original Fortress Craft. I have no clue, really, what any of it is all about. My first impression of this game though is that it is very complicated, but not necessarily bad. There are a great deal of buttons that do different things, it is kinda hard to keep track of them all.

When I played Fortress Craft Evolved, as you can see in the video down below, I died from hypothermia... twice. I am no good at this game because it does not make any sense to me! This game is still in early access, so there are going to be bugs and other unpleasantries with it. That is totally fine. One such issue, in my own opinion, would be the lack of graphics settings. As you can tell in my video, the graphics hated me as well as my recording software. I have still frames for too long on that video, and I sincerely apologize for it. I think that there needs to be wider range of graphics settings for Fortress Craft Evolved so that players can avoid severe lag. My computer is not the most advanced machine, but it can handle most games while I record them with little to no problems.

Fortress Craft Evolved does seem like it would be a great game, and I will continue to play with it and figure stuff out. It might take a while, but I guess I'll get better the more I play! The future of this game is not set in stone, and I am sure that it will be a bright future. Keep up the work on this game, developers, and I will continue to follow it for sure! If you like my video on this game, why not subscribe to channel for more? Also, check out my other videos!

Submerged First Impression

Submerged is such a cool game with parkour elements in it! There is absolutely no combat in Submerged, so no running away from anything, but you climb buildings! Free-climbing that is. The premise of Submerged is that you play as a girl whose little brother is wounded and you have fled to this city that is in ruins and, quite literally, submerged, in search of supplies to save him from dying.

There is a huge amount of exploration involved in this game, you start on a boat, find a building and climb to the top to find supplies and story bits of what happened to the city. The entirety of the story is told without words, except for your character saying what she needs for her brother, Taku, next. There are different creatures in the game that you can find journal entries for as well. All the journal entries are pictures, again, no words.

Now, with there being no combat in Submerged, there are still creatures that can be scary at first. Especially in one particular scene after you return to Taku. If you want to know more about that, I suggest you buy the game and play it for yourself! If you want to see my reaction to it you'll have to check out my channel! You can, however, watch my first video on Submerged here, and if you like it, go to my channel and subscribe for more!

Submerged is a great, relaxing game that I really enjoy, and the story will be great to mull over once I find all parts of it! Figuring out what the pictures say will be an awesome experience, to say the least! I love that Submerged has parkour elements in it as well, because I actually do parkour myself. Having that implemented in games is great for me because I literally put myself in it and it gives me new ideas for when I train. That is a bit more of a personal reason why I like Submerged.

Shoppe Keep First Impression

Shoppe Keep is a very interesting game in my opinion. I always like playing games that allow you to run a shop (or shoppe) because it's like being on the other side in a game like Skyrim, for example. Instead of doing the adventuring and the questing and all that stuff, you're the one who sells stuff to the adventurer. It's so cool! Right now, Shoppe Keep doesn't have a huge amount of content in it, as it is in early access. They have just recently updated the game to have a quest type feature, which I have yet to experience for myself.

In my first video, the customers were very rude. They would pick me up and throw me out of their way. This was only due to pathfinding issues within the game's coding. It was hilarious, and made for a great experience! This has, of course, been fixed. Shoppe Keep is far from perfect, yet. There are of course still some issues with the game, that I am sure will be fixed very quickly. The future of this game is very bright and I cannot wait to see what it brings!

With the implementing of this questing feature, it could add a new depth to the game that enables you to be the shoppe keeper who gives the heroes a quest, and they return with items for you to make other items, etc... As the shoppe keeper, you also have other duties, and in the future possibly more, like sweeping the floor and fixing the shelves. I like this because it adds realism to the game and increases the immersion into it.

My final word is to say thank you to the developers for making this game and for all their work on it! Keep up the great work! Take a look at my first video in this game's series below, and if you like it, why not head over to my channel and take a look at my other games, including more on this one!

Coin Crypt First Impression

I bought Coin Crypt at the same time I bought The Stanley Parable, from Humble Bundle. When I first looked at it, I thought,

'I don't know if I'll really like this game'

I tested Coin Crypt out a bit and I was actually pleasantly surprised! I enjoyed it, quite a bit actually and I am very glad that I got it! When you first start playing, it is likely that you fail quickly, but as you continue playing, you unlock newer coins, areas, characters with different abilities, among other gameplay features. Every time I would go into the crypt area, I would always lose. In my last video, I did go in, and I actually made it out, without much difficulty. After that, I made it to a new area that I'd never been before. That took seven episodes, and I plan on doing even more.

Coin Crypt is very much procedurally generated, which means that it changes every time you play. I absolutely love how this works, because you find different bonuses each time you play, sometimes more than others, and you have to strategize which ones are more beneficial to you.

Each character has their own unique abilities and you unlock them by spending your money that you earned from your last run. Personally, I prefer the demon character over any other. The reason being that every time a coin is played your enemy gains a cursed coin, that if used damages the user. They can end up killing themselves because of this, which means less effort, and less other coin usage on your part! Also, you end up accruing a TON of these cursed coins, which are the only coin with a positive value (as the demon) which means that almost always you can buy what you want from the store.

CAT Interstellar First Impression

CAT Interstellar is a brand new game that is about terraforming a planet. You play as a robot called DOG and are helping to accomplish this task. At the start, there is quite a bit of dialog, but as I state in my video, that's not necessarily a bad thing. That is something could change too, when the full game is released. Currently, the game needs to relay the backstory to you in the miniscule amount of time that you have to play it. Basically, CAT Interstellar is a demo at this time.

For what the game is right now, I actually enjoyed it. There's a small bit to explore, but as it is a demo version, there isn't much to explore. I wound up going the wrong way and couldn't get passed an invisible wall, which meant that I had to go ALL the way back around again! It's actually kinda funny! I don't want to give too much away here, that would be a lot of words, but one more thing: there's explosions! Too much? Nah...

Go give CAT Interstellar a try for yourself and let me know what you think about it! You can take a look at my video of it down below, and if you enjoy that video, go to my YouTube channel and subscribe for more!

The Stanley Parable First Impression

The Stanley Parable is a great experience that you have to try, and here is why:

When I found The Stanley Parable, it was on sale and I was overjoyed to see it! I had to have it! This is the game that I started making YouTube videos of in the first place. I have wanted to get this game for so long, and now I have it.
I first played the demo, which, oddly enough, is a pretty good show of what the actual game is. It is a crazy, nonsensical game that messes with you over and over again. You have a few different choices when play. Or do you? As you play, weird stuff starts happening and you start to wonder if everything you can interact with affects gameplay or not. There was a phone that I answered in the very beginning one time that asked me to confirm a shipment of over 1000 cardboard boxes. I confirmed it and I wondered
"Okay, is this significant in some way? Is there going to be a new door that is open somewhere, or can I see something totally different?"
I never did find anything... Everything just played out the same as it had before, with me taking different paths than the last time, of course. The narrator is the same all the time, but he changes his persona slightly depending on your choices. He'll either try to help you or he'll grow spiteful like some vengeful deity and try to end your game.
The Stanley Parable is a great exploration game. You literally just want to explore everything that you possibly can. There's so many more endings in this game that I have yet to find, and I am excited to see what those may be!
Take a look at my playthrough of The Stanley Parable Demo here and check out my channel down below to see the other videos that I have done! Please feel free to leave me a comment here and on my channel! Thanks for reading, and Godbless!
