Bible Reading with DragoNate #159

Make Known What God has Done

Psalm 105

I pray blessings on you as you read.

(v. 1) "Give thanks to the LORD. Call on him. Make known among the nations what he has done." (v. 5) "Remember the miracles he performed, the amazing things he did, and the judgments he pronounced,"

My Thoughts

God has done so many great things! You can read about a ton of them in the Bible. Lots of people even have their own stories. Whether big or small, it still means something and is still an act from Him.

What has God done in your life? I bet if you really thought about it, you could come up with a lot. Again, small things matter. Maybe you forgot the lyrics to a song you really like and you prayed to remember them. Or maybe you were injured somehow and God healed you much quicker than the doctors thought.

The first verse says to "make known among the nations what God has done." That's giving testimony. I don't believe that you have to go preach it or yell it to your city or even start a conversation with the topic. If it comes up, great! If it's relevant to the topic at hand, tell it. Don't be afraid or hold back from saying it if you feel you want to.

In conversation, people often give their opinion. I like this... I think... etc... When it comes to religion, people can get pretty uptight. I don't know what it is and I don't know why people can't just stat their beliefs and leave it, listen to what the other person says they believe and leave it. We don't have to argue. You can discuss what each one is and the differences between them, but why argue about whether one is better or right or true, etc?

If you state what you believe and the other person says that they don't and tell why or they say it's stupid, then tell them why you continue to believe it. When it comes to an intellectual matter or a matter of truths, then it's just opinion anymore. That's when you give the facts and the testimony.

I was going to give examples of conversation here, but I honestly don't think this is the right place to do so. I will say again to pray, even if you are in conversation with someone. Pray in your head. Ask God to give you the wisdom to know what to say and to guide the conversation. A lot of times, you can use logic and common sense. Use also what you already know. Speak lovingly and tell of the things that God has done for you. Not for others, but for you. That's what testimony is.

Prayer Time

Now you talk to God about what you read, and you can even read this chapter of the Bible for yourself before you do.

Let me know your thoughts on this reading as well.

Thank you for taking the time to read, I pray that what you have read blesses and inspires you! Godbless!
