Relive First Impression

Relive is a brand new game that came out October 15 for free, so anyone can play it! That is a good thing because Relive is a Sci-fi game about CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and their main point of this game is to raise awareness about first-aid training and to encourage people to take a first-aid training course to be ready to act if a situation arises. That's pretty cool, actually. The training mode is like a tutorial, it goes through the steps of what to do if there is a victim that may require CPR. Most of it can actually translate to real life. The part with the AED (automated external defibrillator) cannot entirely because real ones don't have AI (artificial intelligence).

Talking specifically about the game and gameplay here, it is actually pretty fun and enjoyable. There are puzzles that you have to solve and it has mechanics similar to a lot of point and click games. You walk around, find useful items, and you can even combine some items, like a battery and a device that needs one. Relive is not overly complex or difficult, which is good because if it was, it would take away from the reason they made the game.

So far, I have only played one level and I am liking it. When you first start, you are given an objective in which you have to find some specific items and then go to the next area. The first level of Relive was pretty short, in the grand scheme of things, except when you're stuck trying to find something that you need to advance. Actually, I like that the levels are relatively short. For the purpose of the game, if the levels were too long, people probably wouldn't care to continue playing.

Now, the purpose of this game, as I stated above, is to raise awareness about CPR and to encourage people to take a first-aid training course. I think to use a game to accomplish goal is a great idea, one that's not used often enough. There are so many games now and so many people playing games, it is a medium that could be used to educate and raise awareness while they entertain. There are tons of games that do this, for sure, but I think that it could be done more. With Relive specifically, I am predicting that later in the game, I will be required to perform CPR at the drop of a hat. That's how it would be in real life. You have to be ready always, just in case. It could literally mean the difference between life and death.

Check out my first video on Relive down below, and you enjoy it, click on my name to head over to my channel and subscribe for more videos! Thank you for reading, now go out and get first-aid training so you can be ready to save a life someday!
